Shake It Up!

Hello everyone! Welcome back to another fun challenge that I know I found to be just that....a challenge. We're shaking it up this week with Shaker cards. You can find a tutorial here for these fun and fabulous cards. The best part - they're a lot easier to make than they look!

Lisa made two beauties and I had to include all of the photos she provided to highlight her gorgeous cake shaker card:

Here's the best part: these were first attempts for all of us! Let's see your shakers...and be sure to let us know if you've made them before. I can say that I will definitely be making more now that I am less terrified of the technique.

Recycle - Reuse - Renew

Hello Everyone and welcome back to another challenge 

here at The Sisterhood of Crafters!  

We are so glad you've come to join in the fun!

As you can tell by the title, today's challenge is all about

RECYLING, REUSING or RENEWING

the things you have laying around the house 

or in your crafting area!

So, when you are creating your card or project, 

please be sure to use at least one 'recycled' item on it and let us know in your description what that item is.

Now, here are a few inspirational pieces from me and
my fabulously talented 'sistahs' to help get you started ...

I chose to RECYCLE an empty Cricut Cartridge Box  into a birthday gift for my friend Lona
who is a true 'tea tottler'

AND ... also found time to REUSE another item that has been sitting in my 'cave' for a couple of years.  It's the BOX that my DH's tri-fold wallet came in a couple of Christmas's ago.

has recycled this baby formula can into a beautiful canister.

AND, here it is with flowers in it.  FABULOUS idea Lisa!!

TANIS
has also chosen to alter a tin.   What a fabulous gift giving container!  I can picture this filled with candies, dried fruit or a selection of so many other things!!

Celebrating Easter

Nothing signals a new beginning or the arrival of Spring like Easter. Although with the extremely warm temperatures, it more like signaling the arrival of Summer.

Hi everybody, Micki here. I wasn't able to play along with our last challenge but was able to whip up a card for this challenge and we hope you'll be able to play along with us here in The Sisterhood. Let's Celebrate!

Hello ladies! Lisa B here. I will be your host for this fabulous challenge. I hope you are all having this beautiful weather like we are here in Pennsylvania. It is gorgeous weather that my whole family is totally taking advantage of.

For this challenge we are celebrating Birthdays!! We all need these cards in our stash so this is a perfect opportunity to stock up on our birthday cards while playing along. It doesn't only have to be cards it can be a gift that you made for somebody's birthday. We are looking forward to all of your fabulous ideas. It gets even better ladies. We have a wonderful sponsor for this challenge. Jessica over at Shabby Chic Stamp Company has graciously offered to give away one of her BUILD A CAKE stamp set to one random winner. I personally own this stamp set and let me tell you I love it. If you go to my blog you will see some previous items I have made with this set. It can be used for Anniversary, Wedding, Birthdays and more. You can use just the flowers to make a card without a birthday theme. What's even better is that all of her stamps come with free Stamp Em's which are like getting individual custom made Nesties for each stamp. You will need a machine able to cut out SVG's in order to use the Stamp Em's.
