Think Pink! October Breast Cancer Awareness

Good morning everyone!  Lisa B. here with another fantastic and fun challenge here at the Sisterhood of Crafters.

Sadly the odds are that you or your family personally has been affected by Breast Cancer or you know of someone who has been battling this horrible disease. So in honor of those courageous people that have to endure this horrible battle we are having a Breast Cancer Awareness challenge.   

Think pink! 
Your entry must include pink on your project.

Now if you do know of someone personally who has been affected how wonderful would it be that when you are done with your project you mail it to them to let them know you are thinking of them!

On a sad note, our 'Sistah' Micki has had to step down from the team.  Life has become quite stressful and she needs to step back and regroup!  We hope Micki will be able to join us again down the road but in the meantime she will be missed and we wish her well!  Micki was one of the originating 'sisters' and has shared her wonderful, unique and very artistic talents with us from Day 1.

Single Layer Card Winners

Hello friends!

Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun of our "Single Layer Card" challenge.  It's not as easy as it sounds, is it?  Doing away with any layer and creating directly onto the card base takes courage, at least for me it does.  We thoroughly enjoyed seeing your creations and as always, were inspired.

Single Layer Cards

Hello everyone and welcome to another fun challenge!  

As much as I love clean and simple cards, my cards always have layers.  Always!  Even if it's just ONE layer.  I think it's a safety net for me.  I never tend to stamp directly onto the actual card base because it never fails that I mess up.  And a stamped image with a border backing layer will always spiffy a card up.  So this challenge really made me stretch.

The challenge is to create a SINGLE LAYER CARD!  No layers, no backing (frame) layer, nothing but the actual card base.  You can add embellishments, ribbons, brads or washi tape, etc.  It does not have to be a card, a tag is perfectly ok.

And folks, I had a blast and am absolutely in love with my SINGLE LAYER CARD!

Fancy Fold

Hello everyone! Terri here and I can't believe it is my turn to host the Sisterhood of Crafters challenge once again. The sisters are challenging you to make a card with a FANCY FOLD (gate fold, tri-fold, step, etc.) I seldom make fancy fold cards, so this helped me to think outside the box.
